Beethoven’s Music:
Francisco Silva has a long history performing Beethoven’s music. His debut at the age of 19 playing Beethoven’s 2nd Piano Concerto with the Sao Paulo State Symphony Orchestra brought him numerous accolades. Four years later, he delivered his first performance of the complete 32 Piano Sonatas. The cycle received rave reviews and Silva was awarded “The Best Pianist of the Year” prize by the Arts Critics Association in his native country, Brazil, an honor never before given to such a young artist. Recordings of the live performances of the sonatas were released and immediately sold out.
Beethoven in Brunswick is a remarkable series celebrating the full cycle of Beethoven’s piano sonatas, across eight concerts in the heart of the City.
